My dears, I must apologize for neglecting this blog.
I am now back with a vengeance - this place will now be filled with my latest inspirations, work and dreams. Oh, and did I tell you? I am now studying to become a fashion photographer.
Wish me luck my darlings, from what I have seen the competition fierce.

Lots of love,
Steph

Valentine's day is coming up! Here is a lovely guest post from Catherine Moraru for those looking for a romantic holiday!

Head off on a romantic break to Europe this Valentine’s Day

Heading off on a short break for Valentine’s Day is an excellent gift idea, and with so many budget travel offers around at the moment it might not be as expensive as you first think.

The question is, however, with so much choice, where do you go?

Paris is, obviously, the first choice for a romantic getaway for many people, and for good reason. With iconic sights such as the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame cathedral, and countless fabulous restaurants and hotels, you’ll never be short of something to do. The Eiffel Tower tends to be rather busy around Valentine’s Day, but the atmosphere is sure to be amazing. If you’d prefer to experience Paris from another angle, then head to the banks of the river Seine and hop aboard a riverboat. It’s well worth waiting and boarding one that’s heading to the Île de la Cité in order to grab a little slice of romance in the middle of the river. This manicured island is crossed by the Pont Neuf bridge and is renowned as one of the most romantic spots in the city.

For something a little more out of the ordinary, head to Istanbul. Although Turkey may not immediately spring to mind as a top romantic destination, a 45-minute ferry ride from Istanbul takes you out to a cluster of nine islands that prove to be hidden gems. Sitting in the Sea of Marmara, the Princes’ Islands are perfectly idyllic due to the fact that – apart from service vehicles – all motorised transport is banned. The only way to experience the island of your choice is by foot, bicycle, or in a horse and cart, allowing you to get away from the hassles of everyday life and spend some uninterrupted quality time with your other half. The islands also boast their own rich history and culture, ensuring that there’s always something new for you to discover. If you can’t find the time to escape to Europe this year, isme.com has some fantastic Valentine’s Day gift ideas, making it easy to find the perfect gift for your partner.

Many thanks to Catherine for such a lovely post, be sure to check out the site for some gorgeous lingerie to wear on your romantic trips!

Much love,

Steph x

Glitz, Glamour and Gold - Anna Dello Russo for H&M

Photos by Steph Yt. of Ginger and Lace & Bobbi Rose Photography

Matte hues of creamy gold mixed with a bold mediterranean turquoise sums up the palette for Japanese Vogue Editor Anna Dello Russo's capsule collection for H&M. The extravagant accessory range contains an abundance of glittering gold trinkets, big sparkling gems and crystal encrusted ornaments.  The blue backdrop and gold baroque motif is rumored to have been inspired by a wardrobe drawer Ms. Dello Russo owns at home in Italy, and has been replicated for the bags, cases and boxes of the collection. Seems like for Ms. Dello Russo, inspiration is never far from home. Though the collection is dripping with lavishness, don't let the glitz and gold fool you into thinking that the pieces are at all ridiculously priced.

Sexy, glitzy and dramatic the collection is out in H&M stores now from October 4th onwards.

Sparkles at Atelier Swarovski

Photos by Steph Yt. of Ginger and Lace & Bobbi Rose Photography

A myriad of sparkling adornments shimmered in the Swarovski Atelier, rose-gold necklaces and glittering bracelets softly caught the sunlight as it streamed through the windows, emanating a soft flickering glow upon the walls. As I strolled around the ivory show room housed in the West Wing of the Somerset House (destination of London Fashion Week), glimmering crystals caught my eye from all directions. The exhibit itself was a showcase of not only Swarovski's latest Spring Summer 13' collection, but also collections from a notable set of designers including shoe extraordinaire Nicholas Kirkwood and renowned fashion designer Christopher Kane. Each piece a dazzling entity, Swarovski has created an alluring collection for the upcoming season.

[Photoshoot] - By the sparkling sea with Clare P.

Model: Clare P. / Photos by Steph Yt. of Bobbi Rose Photography

Reminiscent of summer, here are just a few shots I took with Clare P. by the beach in Hong Kong. Oh how I miss those warm temperate days. On a beach location, there is nothing I love more than the sun's reflections sparkling on the cusp of the horizon, throwing a kaleidoscope of lights flickering in the background and creating the most beautiful spots of glitter in a photograph. I adore it when my models smile. There is something about the thrill of capturing just that flicker of emotion, that split second where a laugh is bold, true and utterly captivating.

Fish & Chips at Poppies of Spitalfields

Poppies of Spitalfields /  6-8 Hanbury Street, London, E1 6QR, United Kingdom / 020 7247 0892

Is there anything more quintessentially British than Fish & Chips?

As it would have been such a shame to have missed out the trademark English dish, we went in search of some of the best Fish & Chips houses. Lucky as I am, turns out that my lovely quaint neighborhood, good ol' Spitalfields, housed one of London's top Fish & Chip stores. Stepping a dainty foot gingerly over the sky blue threshold, I knew on sight that it would be one of my frequent haunts in London.

Decorated like a 50's diner, Poppies' color palette is a soft pastel blue contrasted against black and white checker-board tiles. Red and white striped life-saving rings, framed photographs of old movie stars and a miscellany of memorabilia dot the walls . As retro music hummed softly from the jukebox in the corner, I patiently waited as the delicious sizzling of fish and chips hissed and filled my ears.

Though anticipation and hunger may not have ensured that I was the fairest judge of taste, I must say that the fish was succulent, soft and crisp. The cod itself was slightly tasteless, which is a problem easily solved with the addition of tartare sauce, it was easily the best deep fried fish I have ever tasted. The Chips were quite scrumptious as well, each packed with a strong solid taste of English potatoes. What truly surprised me was how much I enjoyed the fresh seasonal salad, each leaf and vegetable was brisk, fresh and tasteful, a perfect meal in itself even without the Fish & Chips.

So fellow readers, if you're on the lookout or harboring a craving for a plate of Fish & Chips, I heartily recommend Poppies of Spitalfields with its adorable atmosphere and crisp and sweet tasting Fish & Chips, definitely a fabulous place for a casual lunch with the girls!
